Former Saturday Kitchen host James Martin whisks up Ready Steady Cook revival rumours
The BBC show ran from 1994 to 2016 and was originally hosted by Fern Britton until Ainsley Harriott took the reins in 2000.
Speaking about the popular cooking show to the Evening Times, James said: "It's too good a format for it to disappear in the ether.
"They're revamping a lot of shows and I'm sure they'll look at that too," the 44-year-old added.
Ready Steady Cook challenged household-names from the culinary world to produce a masterpiece with minimal ingredients.

"It was a regular thing in the afternoons every weekday and on Friday and Saturday nights we used to do the celebrity ones, which were massive," explained James.
David Tennant and Kate Winslet were among some of the famous faces to appear during the celebrity specials.
He recently revealed that he was shocked by Saturday Kitchen fans' reactions when he said his tearful farewell to the cooking show after 10 years: "I didn't think there'd be the fuss that there was but little did I know. It was a shock to be honest."
He admitted that he had some doubts about leaving the show.
"Straight away, I was thinking, 'whoa, whoa, whoa, have I made the right decision? Have I done the right thing?'" he questioned.

James Martin is now travelling France for his show on ITV
The celebrity chef is currently starring in James Martin's French Adventure on ITV where he revisits the places he trained as a chef in his idol, Keith Floyd's, car.
"I trained there as a young kid, so going back for me was a personal journey as well as the added advantage of doing it in Keith Floyd's car," said James.
He continued: "It's the best thing I've done in a long time."
James Martin's French Adventure airs weekdays at 3pm on ITV.
