The next major upgrade to Windows 10 brings a wide range of improvements and additions to Microsoft’s software as the company offers up its latest work.

That’s because the company has today revealed the first look at the next generation of Windows 10.
Microsoft has rolled out the biggest preview version of the upcoming update to its software, codenamed Redstone 3.
Windows 10 build 16170 has been released to the Windows Insider program today, marking the most advanced version of the platform to date.
The Windows Insider program is open to anyone – all you need to do to enrol is head to the Settings app on Windows 10.
Then navigate to Update & Security > Windows Insider Program > Get Started.

The update doesn’t contain too many exciting features, with minor bug fixes and performance upgrades taking up much of the download.
However the finished version of Redstone 3, set to be released later this year, could bring a number of huge changes to Windows 10.
“You won’t see many big noticeable changes or new features in new builds just yet,” Microsoft’s blog post announcing the news said, “That’s because right now, we’re focused on making some refinements.”
The update will reportedly include an all-new design for Windows 10 codenamed ‘Project Neon’.
The new-look Windows 10 appears to bring in a number of stylistic improvements, including boosted animations and blue to apps.
Microsoft has already made the new tools available to developers, as part of its aims to help teams build new and ‘beautiful apps’.
Project Neon is also set to bring a number of improvements to Windows 10’s 3D functions, and the link between the software and its HoloLens headset.
More information about Redstone 3 is expected to be revealed at Microsoft’s Build conference in May.
