There’s nothing more annoying than when you’re out and about for a peaceful day and a random tries talking to you…
Well how about when you’re waiting in line a quiet coffee shop and you’ve got no mates to hide behind, or another bar to run to?
I think that’s exactly how this NASA scientist felt when he was confronted by a flat-earth conspirator.
‘I’m here with a real NASA employee’, Nathan Thompson proclaims to his YouTube following.
Nathan, if you’re wondering, is the guy behind a 30,000-strong flat earth conspiracy Facebook page, and it’s fair to say, got a little carried away when he met a NASA employee recently in Starbucks.
Initially, they had a quiet discussion with the scientist even giving Nathan some NASA stickers, but things quickly turned sour when Nathan decided to stick a camera in the guys face – all he wanted was a coffee!

Nathan tries his best to get the NASA guy to open up to him on camera, but as you can imagine, he just wants to get his drink and go.
Nathan describes how things unfolded from his perspective:
A legit NASA employee and I asked him, I said, astronauts have almost died in space.
Uh, they get water in their suit and they almost drowned and he said it was because of saliva.
This guy right here, hang on, I’m gonna wait for him to get to the front of the line, and then I’m gonna ask him some more questions.
Poor Nathan, I don’t think he realises what a nause he’s being and thinks the NASA guy is ignoring him because obviously the earth is flat *cough cough*.

Look, he was all nice. He was all nice. He gave me NASA cartoon frigging emblems and now he won’t talk to me at all.
Come on, you won’t chat with me? You hate Americans? Is that it?
At which point, the NASA guy has had enough.
In a calm but visibly annoyed manner, he tells Nathan:
Excuse me? How the hell did you get that? Don’t ever accuse me of that again! I don’t have to chat with you. Step over there, OK? I’m done talking to you!
Thankfully, Starbucks staff intervened and escorted Nathan out of the shop.
