Fire Emblem Heroes has made big bucks for Nintendo behind Super Mario Run
According to the latest data reports, Fire Emblem Heroes has made more than $2.9 million in worldwide gross revenue and been downloaded more than two million times from the App Store and Google Play.
This is from its first 24hrs of availability, putting it in the same bracket as titles like Clash Royale and Super Mario Run.
Analysts at Sensor Tower revealed the news, meaning that while Fire Emblem Heroes has failed to match both Pokemon Go and Super Mario Run, it has still proven a big success.
“The estimated $2.9 million Fire Emblem Heroes earned in its first 24 hours, while considerably less than the likes of Pokémon GO ($10.2M) and Super Mario Run ($8.4M just on iOS), out-earned Supercell’s Clash Royale, which we estimate grossed approximately $1.4 million on day one,” Sensor Tower explains.
Fire Emblem Heroes has had the most impact in Japan but Sensor Tower has also predicted that while the numbers aren’t as high as other games, the people playing in the first 24hrs maybe the ones who are the biggest fans of the franchise.

“So far, the overwhelming majority of downloads and revenue for Fire Emblem Heroes has come from Japan, with the United States ranking as its second-place territory. This isn’t at all surprising given the popularity of Nintendo’s fantasy role-playing IP in its home country compared to other territories.
“But as one of the lesser known properties among non-hardcore gamers, especially in the West, we’re definitely impressed by its standing with U.S. smartphone gamers so far.
“The initial players are likely to be the most diehard fans of the property, thus willing to spend more, and may not have progressed far enough into the game to really feel the need to monetize.”
Fire Emblem Heroes great start was recorded after it climbed to No. 4 in the top grossing chart on iPhone in Japan.
It was also No. 1 in the free download ranking for that region as well, with analyst Dr. Serkan Toto also confirming that the game had created a huge stock jump for Nintendo.
“Nintendo stock is currently +5.06% in Tokyo after investors find out a company like Nintendo can actually create a free-to-play mobile game," he tweeted.
“To be fair to investors, I also heard skepticism from game industry pros if Nintendo can do mobile+free-to-play. Incredible ignorance.
“This very early performance is very promising, esp. in JP: the app is just in the store for a few hours and already in the top 10 grossing.”
The stock jump will go someway to repairing the drop following the announcement of the Nintendo Switch in January.
That saw the company stock dip severely, although it has also seen a steady climb back toward its former levels since.
Fire Emblem Heroes reviews are over 30,000 mark on the Android Play Store, giving it an average rating of 4.5 stars.
