The FIFA 18 release date could contain different versions of the game on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One
FIFA 18 is set to be one of the biggest mainstream third-party launches for the hybrid console, with many of the other big franchises still missing from the lineup.
This might change a little at E3 2017, some of the other big companies such as Activision or Bethesda could announce new titles that are switching over.
But right now, FIFA 18 is one of the biggest confirmed.
New FIFA 18 release date news is set to be released next month, during the EA Play event.
But the latest reports this week suggest that a different version of the game could be released on Nintendo Switch, then on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The latest from EA is this statement, talking about the Nintendo Switch: “If you're at the park, at your friend's house, or on vacation, you can always stay connected to the biggest matches.
“You'll be able to get on the pitch with your favourite players and teams from the world's best leagues in iconic stadiums from around the world… all with the unmatched authenticity and depth that FIFA is known for.”
A recent press release sent out by EA appears to note two different versions of the game, FIFA 18 and EA SPORTS FIFA on the Nintendo Switch.
This would suggest that the two games will not stack up the same side-by-side, although EA have yet to confirm any differences between them.
We’ll likely have to wait until next month to find out if there are any major difference between the console versions of the game, during the EA PLAY event.
EA Play tickets went on sale in April and include a host of new titles that will be playable on the show floor.
