The Reds icon has since hung up his boots and joined Liverpool's coaching set-up that will see him take charge of the Under-18s from next season.
But Torres wishes he had another chance to team up with the 36-year-old.
“He is everything I need on the pitch in one player," Torres told BBC's Football Focus.
