An Arsenal win at Wembley would be their 13th triumph in the famous competition and put them out on their own in front of Manchester United, who have 12.
But Chelsea will be looking to complete the double in Antonio Conte's first season in charge, after the Italian led the Blues to the Premier League title earlier this month.
He would be repeating the feat achieved by countryman Carlo Ancelotti who won the league and cup in his debut campaign in 2009.
Despite finishing outside the top four, Arsene Wenger's Arsenal have ended the season strongly, winning seven of their eight league matches since the switch to a 3-4-3 formation similar to the one used by Conte at Stamford Bridge.
