Michael Keane is on Everton's radar after turning down a new contract at Burnley
Centre-back Keane is set to leave Burnley after turning down the offer of a new contract.
The Clarets are resigned to losing him in the summer – when he will have 12 months to run on his current deal – but are determined to keep him until then.
Everton boss Koeman refused to be drawn on whether he thought he could sign Keane before the window shuts on Tuesday, but admitted that the defender is on his list of transfer targets.

The manager said: “He is one of those players.
“He’s on our list but he’s on lots of teams' lists. It's what we need for next season and the future.

Everton have completed the signing on Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United
“If we sign a player it's that player who brings what we don't have. If it's not possible today or tomorrow we will wait until the summer when it's easier than in January.”
Koeman says that he is not trying to sign winger Ashley Young from Manchester United, though, and nor is he looking for another striker to add support for Romelu Lukaku.
“We have Enner Valencia,” said Koeman. “That’s enough.”
