Billy Vunipola has returned to the England rugby squad for the Six Nations clash with Scotland
England had made a number of changes to the backline ahead of the game against Italy with Danny Care, Ben Te’o and James Haskell all coming into the starting line-up.
Italy attempted to end England’s unbeaten run by employing the unusual tactic of refusing to contest rucks, allowing them to disrupt Care’s distribution.
But after trailing at half-time, the defending Six Nations champions recovered with six tries in total to win 36-15.
Nevertheless, Eddie Jones has elected to restore Ben Youngs, Jack Nowell and Jonathan Joseph to the side while Billy Vunipola seals his return to the bench having spent more than three months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The England coach was said to have accidentally revealed his squad earlier this week when two tactical whiteboards were snapped at the Pennyhill Park training base.
However, forwards coach Steve Borthwick insisted that the teams were just a routine part of practice and that England work in a number of different combinations throughout the week.
