After last night’s show, fans had decided the unknown female was Faith Dingle, the long-lost mother of Chas (played by Lucy Pargeter) and Cain (Jeff Hordley).
However, after watching the woman interact with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) this evening, those watching at home now believe she could be Sarah’s father Andy.
One social media user said: “What if the women that we all think is Faith is actually Andy? we know he can pull a woman disguise #emmerdale #robron.”
While another asked: “Andy Sugden is now a woman? #Emmerdale.”

Andy left Emmerdale village last year after Chrissie White (Louise Marwood) framed him for the attempted murder of her father Lawrence (John Bowe).
But recently Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson) has admitted he was the one who shot Lawrence, leaving the door wide open for Andy’s return.
His name was mentioned frequently tonight by Charity (Emily Atkins), who blamed Chrissie for keeping Andy away from his sick daughter.
The hiding in the barn and the disguise would also make sense as Andy might not know that he is no longer wanted by the police.
