In the closing scene of the episode, Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) was seen watching a crime programme.
To his horror, he saw CCTV footage of his own daughter (Charley Webb) putting her children in a car at a petrol station.
The presenter of the appeal show then announced that police were looking for the woman getting into the car.
The voiceover was heard saying: “The vehicle is thought to have been involved in a robbery and subsequent hit and run.”
