An elderly couple were robbed at knifepoint who barged through the front door and trashed their home
Elderly Rosina and David Davies were at home when the gang of thugs forced their way in.
Mr Davies heard a knock at the front door at around 9.45pm on New Year's Day so got up to investigate and a name was mumbled through the door by one of the attackers.
He then opened the door to see who it was and the three barged through knocking him off balance.
They ran upstairs and into the couple's bedroom as Mrs Davies desperately tried to dial 999.
One man pushed her onto the bed, snatched the phone from her hand and ripped it out of the socket before threatening her at knifepoint while demanding money.
But bravely Mrs Davies shouted her neighbour's name in a bid to raise the alarm as her attacker tried to cover her mouth but she managed to break away.
