Those at home took to Twitter to share their disappointment that the drama's explosive "Disaster Week" hadn't killed off any of Walford's inhabitants – except for the poor driver.
The final episode was deemed "anti-climactic" by some despite a number of huge twists and revelations hitting audiences hard.
While everyone appeared to have survived, viewers watched in horror as Whitney Carter (played by Shona McGarty) kissed father-in-law Mick (Danny Dyer), Max Branning (Jake Wood) was seen with a mystery man saying the Queen Vic was "next" and Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner) and husband Martin (James Bye) decided to have a baby together.
"What's the point of the bus crash if no-one died? #eastenders," one user asked, as another agreed: "#eastenders disaster week was pretty lame! Who died?"
