Fans of the BBC soap went into meltdown earlier this year after they thought they spotted a huge hint that Tanya could be set to return to Walford.
During an episode in February, her daughter, Lauren Branning (played by Jacqueline Jossa) made frequent references to the character and lamented the fact that she hadn't been able to visit her baby grandson.
EastEnders viewers quickly flocked to social media to speculate as to whether the statements were a huge hint about Tanya's possible comeback.

Now, actress Jo, 40, has addressed the rumours, admitting to OK!: "I had comments from my mum about that yesterday on the family WhatsApp chat.
"The really great thing about soap is that it's useful to get people in a bit of a whizz about a storyline," she teased, before adding: "But no, I've not been approached."
Tanya left Albert Square back in 2013, making a brief comeback in February 2015 for the show's 30th anniversary celebrations.

However, Jo did not rule out the possibility of once again making an appearance in the soap, leaving the door open for producers to approach her again.
From the look of fans' reactions to the rumours on Twitter, they would be delighted to have Tanya back.
