Despite admitting taking things from the BBC lot was "highly illegal", the actress said that she had kept a few things to remember her time on the soap.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 39-year-old opened up about the items she wanted, as well as what it feels like to move away from the long-running drama after so long.
When asked what she took away with her, Rita commented: "I took a few bits from Roxy’s make-up bag and a couple of tops from her wardrobe.
"Some that I’ll never wear, the iconic bits that I just felt I had to keep. Like the cowboy boots…"

I think every soap actor worries about being typecast!
Rita's character met a watery death alongside her sister Ronnie (played by Samantha Womack) in a swimming pool after the latter's wedding.
Asked if it was odd to no longer having to film, the star continued: "I'm waiting for that feeling to creep up on me, I left EastEnders, had a week when I was unwell and then I started panto – I have not stopped.
"I’m waiting for that moment when I think, 'Oh I don’t have to be anywhere. What am I going to do?'"
Rita added: "I need to be busy, so I’ll probably be in the gym 24/7 or I’ll turn into mother of the year."

The Londoner went on to hint that her worries about being typecast influenced her decision to exit EastEnders.
She said: "I think every soap actor worries and although it is a thing, I think 10 years… that is part of the reason I knew I needed to leave.
"After 10 years, I really need to start thinking about other characters and I refuse to believe anyone is really boxed in."
EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
