The duo came to blows after Mick (played Danny Dyer) confided in his mother Shirley (Linda Henry) and came clean about how he kissed Whitney (Shona McGarty).
Despite making it clear he was the one who initiated it, a furious Shirley stormed into Whitney’s bedroom and accused her of worming her way in to the Carter family.
As she grabbed Whitney by the collar and shoved her into a mirror, Whitney told her: “You are a nasty woman. You’re a vindictive, dried up old bag. You just can’t stand anyone else being happy."
Seething more by the second, Shirley responded: “And you are a little tart, a parasite that feeds off good men like Lee and Mick, hanging around this family until Mick was at his lowest.”

She then ordered Whitney to get out of the Queen Vic and told her to pack her bags.
As an emotional Whitney was seen leaving Walford as she cried on the Tube, many viewers of the soap were ecstatic with her exit as they wrote on social media: “Well done Shirley… Bye Bye Whitney !#Eastenders.”
Another said: “It's about time this thing going on between Mick and Whitney came to an end! #eastenders.”
But a third thought Mick deserved to be blamed as well, they wrote: “Mick is just as much- If not more to blame than Whitney is! People slating her so much #EastEnders.”

But it doesn’t seem Whitney will be gone for too long as boss Sean O’Connor recently warned viewers to prepare for a huge spat with a special episode featuring only Whitney, Mick and his wife Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
“[Whitney] has some huge episodes to come, he told Metro. “Including a showdown with Mick and Linda in the pipeline which will be a Carter three hander where all of the emotions of the past few months will come crashing into the heart of the Square.
“It’s going to be fantastic,” he teased.
