Jack (played by Scott Maslen) was with his brother Max Branning (Jake Wood) at the inquest into Ronnie and Roxy’s death after they tragically died in a swimming pool on New Year’s Day.
The coroner ruled that the Mitchell sisters died as a result of "misadventure” instead of the initial thought that they had both drowned.
Jack was furious with the news and was left raging at Max when they left the court.
Grief-stricken Jack ranted: "Is that what I'm going to tell Amy? An adventure gone wrong? Well it's not true, is it. Roxy went into that water knowing full well she put a shed load of gear up her nose."
Viewers thought Jack Branning swore pre-watershed on the BBC One soap
Jack Branning was furious after the inquest
But viewers seemed to mishear him and thought he said “s**t” instead of shed.
One person commented on Twitter: “Did Jack Branning really just say 'Roxy put a s**t load of that gear up her nose' #eastenders.”
“Oooh Jack just said ’s**t’ on #eastenders before the water shed…” Said one adamant viewer.
A third wrote: “@BBC @bbceastenders Jack Branning has just said pre water shed, "that Roxy put a S**T load of that gear up her nose" eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!.”
“Did jack just say “s**t load"? or was I hearing things #eastenders," commented another.

It appears fans simply misheard the character as he vented his anger, but it is not the first time the soap has been under the spotlight for swearing before the watershed.
Last month, the BBC soap came under fire from outraged viewers after an episode dedicated to Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) and Michelle Fowler’s (Jenna Russell) friendship included the words “bd”,” “bly”, “sh*g” and “as”.
Elsewhere on EastEnders, Annette Badlands who plays Aunt Babe has promised she will return after being kicked out of the Queen Vic by Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) in last night’s dramatic episode.
EastEnders continues tonight on BBC One at 8pm.
