
The 57-year-old was heard telling viewers that he had picked up Ruth, also 56, from a street corner during a moment of banter between the couple.
“I found you on a street corner, didn’t?” he said, giving Ruth a look.
Just to make sure that the audience did not get the wrong idea, Ruth clarified: “I was waiting for a friend.”
This is not the first time that the pair’s relationship has come up on the programme, only last week Eamonn threatened to cheat on his wife.
During a debate on sexless marriages, Eamonn said that one in 10 people wanted to have sex elsewhere, before cheekily adding: "I'm not one of those one in 10…yet."
His comments left Ruth unimpressed and she hit back: "You might be after this."

Today’s episode of This Morning proved to be an eventful one after not one but two Donald Trump impersonators appeared on the ITV breakfast show.
While the hosting duo seemed to be amused by the two Trumps, viewers at home were not pleased with the segment.
Many people took to social media to blast This Morning over the two Trumps that saw British comic Mike Osman in the studio and US star John Di Domenico video video link from Fort Lauderdale both dressed up as the soon-to-be American president.

When asked about what kind of Commander-in-Chief he was going to be, the Trump in the studio said: “I am going to be the greatest president that god ever created and I got to tell you that I did meet him.”
He went on to tell the hosting duo: “I am not a racist and the reason I can tell you that is because I went to Desmond Tutu’s birthday party.”
