The 57-year-old made the epic blunder while talking about the daily showbiz gossip with Rylan Clark-Neal, who revealed that a rumoured panel of Bake Off judges are thought to have been spotted in London today.
“Do you really care?” he impassionately fumed to Rylan, 28, and his wife and co-host Ruth Langsford, 56.
“I’ve never seen an episode,” he continued to vent. “Why do people care?”
Thankfully, Rylan managed to redeem the situation, fully aware that the latest GBBO victor appeared on the programme literally just minutes before.

The presenter’s comments come after Michel Roux Jr. and Frances Atkins sparked rumours they will succeed Berry as Great British Bake Off judges after being pictured filming alongside Paul Hollywood in London today.
