Eleven-year-old Matthew English, who is hearing impaired and was born with a condition called microtia atresia, which means he has just one ear and no ear canal, was given the opportunity to duet with the singer.
Speaking ahead of their performance, Donny read a letter from Matthew, informing the audience: "I grew up watching you in Joseph and always wanted a Dreamcoat." He then joked: "You can't have my dream coat, I'm sorry!"
The musician went on to reveal that the youngster had learnt all of the songs from Joseph and become part of the Hearing Fund UK.
"I would really like to thank you as I am hearing impaired and the hearing fund has so helped me," he continued.
