Donald Trump said his cabinet has the highest IQ in the White House ever
Speaking at a luncheon at his Trump International Hotel in Washington, he praised his new team and made reference to their intelligence.
He particularly paid tribute to Tom Price, the incoming Health and Human Services Secretary, who faced a barrage of tough questions from journalists after he was appointed.
Mr Trump said: “They were so nice to Tom. Right? Where’s Tom? This guy’s become a star. Where is Tom? Man, were they nice to you! It is a lovely group of people, Tom. They wanted to end his career so fast. And then they found out he’s smart!”
The shock election winner then turned his attention to his team as a whole.
He said: “We have a lot of smart people. I tell you what. One thing we’ve learned we have by far the highest IQ of any Cabinet ever assembled.”
Mr Trump has repeatedly told reporters and critics he was smart
This is not the first time Mr Trump has commented publicly on IQ, after tweeting a message to his “haters” in 2013.
The message read: “Sorry losers and haters, but my IQ is one of the highest – and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure, it's not your fault”.

Mr Trump challenged Sadiq Khan to an IQ test last May
And earlier this year he challenged Sadiq Khan to an IQ test after the Mayor of London accused him of making ignorant comments about Islam.
Mr Trump said: “Let’s do an IQ test! When he won I wished him well. Now I don’t care about him. Let’s see how he does, let’s see if he’s a good mayor.

“He doesn’t know me, doesn’t know what I’m about. I think they’re very rude statements.”
Mr Khan hit back immediately and said: “Ignorance is not the same thing as lack of intelligence.”
