How many episodes are in Doctor Who season 10?
Tonight’s episode, The Pyramid at the End of the World, is the seventh of 12.
The Doctor, Bill and Nardole find themselves in the middle of a war-zone as China, Russia and the US clash over a 5,000-year-old pyramid that has appeared out of nowhere.
As every clock in the world begins counting down to mutually-assured destruction, an alien invasion unlike any other begins to unfold.
The sci-fi drama picks up immediately after last week’s instalment, which saw the heroes visit the Vatican, the White House and CERN while searching for a translation of an ancient text dubbed Veritas.
In the closing scenes, it was revealed that the entire adventure had taken place in a computer simulation run by the Monks, a gruesome race intent on invading Earth.
What will happen in the rest of season 10?
Episode 8 – The Lie of the Land
With the world gripped by mass delusion, only Bill can see the truth.
And with even the Doctor fighting on the wrong side, it’s up to Bill to convince him that humanity is in deadly danger – or else kill her best friend.
This instalment will also see the return of Missy – presumably having been freed from the Vault at last.

When does Peter Capaldi leave Doctor Who?
Although trailers have teased the Doctor’s regeneration all season long, Capaldi will not bow out until after the 2017 Christmas special.
Showrunner Steven Moffat will also leave the series at end of the year, with Pearl Mackie also rumoured to be bowing out as Bill Potts in order to give new head writer Chris Chibnall a clean slate.
Michelle Gomez has revealed that she too will leave the series, telling Radio Times: “My pals are going so I’m going. I mean, what would I do without Peter and Steven? Who would I be?”
