Destiny 2 could be subtitled Forge of Hope
Destiny 2's release date and full title may have just been revealed ahead of the official announcement.
Ahead of Activision's imminent conference call, one Reddit user claims that the upcoming sequel will be titled Destiny 2: Forge of Hope.
And it looks like fans won't have too long to wait, because Destiny 2 will supposedly have a November release date, between November 4 to November 18.
Interestingly, the source claims that the game will have a brand new engine that allows Bungie to quickly add new content and updates.
Taking a cue from Overwatch, fans can expect significant updates and events every couple of months, which will keep players engaged for longer.
The game is said to be in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC, while PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio enhancements are also likely.
Activision and Bungie are yet to confirm the news, so it remains to be seen if the leak is accurate.

Bungie is expected to unveil Destiny 2 in 2017. The developer has even been busy hiring new staff to work on the game.
Judging by the Bungie job pages, the developer is hoping to improve on the original's lackluster storytelling.
Bungie is hiring a new Head of Narrative Development, a Narrative Director and a Live Narrative Director. And it's the latter that will intrigue fans the most.
According to the job description, the Live Narrative Director will "direct the storytelling efforts for regular, small-scale Destiny releases throughout the calendar year".
The description suggests that Bungie is planning to release a series of smaller story updates throughout the course of Destiny 2's lifecycle.
In the meantime, Destiny fans will be disappointed to hear that Bungie has ruled out the return of February's Crimson Days event, although a new Destiny update is coming soon.
Bungie dropped the bombshell on its blog, telling fans that the Destiny Valentine's Day event would not come to Xbox One and PS4.
But it's not all bad news, because Bungie has promised to release a big content update in the near future.
"First things first: Crimson Days will not be making a return this year," reads a Bungie blog post.
"We enjoyed adding some gunfire to your date night, but we have other plans. Instead, we’re dedicating our efforts to delivering different things for you to play."
Bungie is keeping tight-lipped about the content update, which is expected to have a spring release date.
