Scarlett Johansson previously admitted she felt uncomfortable discussing sexism in the industry
The Avengers star admitted previously that she felt uncomfortable discussing sexism in the industry because she felt fortunate to make a great living.
However, she believes the problem runs so much deeper than just Hollywood : “Some people felt I should talk about my personal struggle in order to shed a spotlight on the greater issue,” she tells Marie Claire.
“Maybe I’m being presumptuous but I assumed it was obvious that women in all positions struggle for equality. It’s always an uphill battle and fight. My experience with my close female friends and family is that the struggle is real for everybody.
Everyone has been discriminated against or harassed.” The 32-year-old adds: “Just because I’m the top-grossing actress of all time does not mean I’m the highest paid. I’ve had to fight for everything that I have. It’s such a fickle and political industry.”
According to financial bible Forbes, Sca-Jo’s films amassed almost £1 billion in ticket sales globally last year, primarily for her role as The Black Widow in Captain America: Civil War.
DAKOTA JOHNSON reckons the huge success of the Fifty Shades Of Grey franchise has nothing to do with its raunchy, S&M-lite nature at all.
Apparently it’s just a run-of-the-mill love story.
“I don’t think Fifty Shades is about sex. It’s the story of two people who love each other and the reason it’s so popular is that we get to see that love unfold,” says the 27-year-old, who stars as Anastasia Steele opposite Irish actor Jamie Dornan, 34, as Christian Grey, in both fi lm versions of E L James’s novels.
“Everyone talks about the sex scenes but more than anything this is a love story.”
Hardly a modern Romeo and Juliet though is it? Still at least they don’t both end up dead.

Dakota Johnson thinks Fifty Shades of Grey is more about a love story rather than its sex scenes
PERHAPS Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s wrestling catchphrase of “Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?” is more prophetic than previously thought.
The 43-year-old wrestler-turnedactor is now in the Guinness Book Of Records for a second time after creating the world’s largest seven-layered dip.
Fast And Furious star Dwayne and staff at his Seven Bucks Studios in LA constructed the combination from sour cream, refried beans, guacamole, cheese, olives and salsa.
The dish weighed 540lb (245kg), beating the previous best of 440.9lb.

It was all done in full view of a Guinness World Record offi cial and was then donated to an LA homeless charity.
Dwayne previously broke the world record for selfies after taking 105 photos with fans at his 2015 San Andreas premiere in London.
HE MIGHT share a name with Jim Davis’s comedic cartoon cat but it seems actor Andrew Garfield is rather more of a serious soul.
Starring in multi Oscar-nominated Hacksaw Ridge the 33-year-old admits he didn’t always appreciate director Mel Gibson’s silly side on set.
Andrew Garfield didn't always appreciate Mel Gibson's silly side on the set of Hacksaw Ridge
“Mel likes to keep the set light,” says the man who has a best actor nomination for his portrayal of army medic Desmond T Doss in the biographical war drama, for which Mel received a best director nod.
“I like to keep more focused and he annoyed me so much. We would laugh about it because he knew he was doing it all the time.”
But perhaps keen to avoid burning bridges, he adds: “He is a wonderful man. I adore him.” Smarm, smarm.

Best and worst dressed at the 2016 GRAMMYs
The normally brunette singer showed off her new look this week after dyeing her locks platinum blonde as she announced her upcoming performance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.
The eye-catching hairstyle seems to have been inspired by actor Orlando, 40, who recently turned his previously dark mane blond for his latest film project, as he did previously for Lord Of The Rings.
The 32-year-old singer captioned the image on Instagram with the incredibly imaginative statement of: “New life who dis?” (New life who’s this?).
Katy Perry teased fans with her new blonde look amid her Grammy performance announcement
With Katy not having released an album since 2013 she is rumoured to be releasing a new single, called Chained To The Rhythm, this Friday.
No doubt she’ll be using the event to promote some of her new material. We can hardly contain our excitement.
