Actress Jane Fonda and music producer Richard Perry has split after eight years together
The 79-year-old actress and the music producer went their separate ways earlier this month because, according to Richard, they were living separate lives.
“That’s true,” said the 74-year-old when asked about the split.

“It’s not a break-up, it is a shift in the direction of our lives. We care about each other a great deal and as far as romantic relationships, that has temporarily been put on the back burner because she has rededicated herself to activism.”

Jane, who is thrice divorced – from French director Roger Vadim, activist Tom Hayden and media mogul Ted Turner – took part in the women’s march in LA over the weekend and later a protest against the North Dakota pipelines.
Richard is not ruling out a reconciliation: “There’s always a possibility that her life will change. We’ve been leading separate lives but we still find time to do dinner once a week.

While Ben Affleck says he will actively discourage his children from getting into acting, Milla Jovovich thinks the industry’s perfect for her little one.
The actress is even encouraging her nine-year-old daughter Ever to be a Hollywood star, insisting it’s her calling.
“It’s amazing because my [eldest] daughter really just has a shine towards acting,” says the 41-year-old, who made her name as a model.
“She said she wanted to be on a TV show and so we [Milla’s husband and Ever’s father, director Paul WS Anderson, 51] told her that she would have to take acting classes… she did, and she’s just incredible… and natural.’’
Lucky Ever (or unlucky Ever, for those who agree with Ben Affleck!) played a younger version of Milla’s on-screen character Alice in last year’s Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
Milla, who also has one-year-old Dashiel, adds: “It feels like she turned seven and suddenly she’s just so mature. I felt relieved that my daughter really found her calling.”
Filming for her new TV show has made Amanda Redman feel closer to her mum
Filming her new TV show on the Indian sub-continent on the anniversary of her mother Joan’s death made Amanda Redman feel much closer to her, the actress tells Day & Night.
Speaking at the launch of her new TV drama The Good Karma Hotel at London’s Soho Hotel, 59-year-old Amanda recognised the poignancy of being in close proximity to her mother’s birthplace for three months at the end of last year.
“My mother was born in India and was there until she was 12. India has always been part of my background and I’ve been there many times and I feel very much at home.

“Being there made me feel closer to my mum. It was the first anniversary of her death and I was talking to her on my balcony and I just said, ‘Mum, I’m so glad I’m here because I feel closer to you’.”
The New Tricks actress adds: “I contemplated more than ever, and I’m not a person who can usually sit still.”

Lorraine Kelly has expressed her concerns for Paris Jackson in light of the latter’s recent comments concerning the death of her father.
“I really hope she has people around her looking after her as she’s clearly very vulnerable,” says the 57-year-old in response to the 18-year-old’s claims that dad Michael, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, was murdered, while also revealing she suffered from sexual abuse four years ago.
“Growing up when your father is telling you, ‘You’re a young kid’, that people are ‘out to get him’, can you imagine growing up with that? It’s really, really disturbing. I genuinely wish her all the best, what she’s been through is unimaginable.”
