Manchester United took the lead against Sunderland after half an hour thanks to a stunning strike from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But the game got further beyond the Black Cats just before half-time when Sebastian Larsson was sent off with a straight red card.
United went on to dominate proceedings against the 10 men with second-half strikes from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford.

"There's disappointment we didn’t get anything from the game," Moyes told Sky Sports.
"United were good but we hung in there.
