David Haye expects Tyson Fury to come looking for the fight that was initially booked in 2013

Haye will fight next on March 4 in a grudge match against Tony Bellew, who is stepping up to heavyweight to make the bout happen.

But Haye is not worried about the Liverpudlian's threat and is already planning his next move.

"Ideally I’d look at the champions," Haye said.

"Anthony Joshua is the first target because he’s got the most momentum behind him.

"There’s rumblings of Tyson Fury making a comeback and if he does, I’m sure he’ll want a big payday because he hasn’t had one yet.

"I’m not sure what his situation is but if he does come back, if it’s not myself it will be Joshua.

"Between the three of us, there are some big fights out there.

"We’re all big characters, we’re pretty much all household names and we’re all from Britain.

"Whichever way you put us together, you’re going to get a box office clash."

And the former heavyweight and cruiserweight world champion is already making plans for his retirement, which he claims would have come earlier had he not lost to Wladimir Klitschko in 2011.

The 36-year-old has set up his own promotion company in the UK – Hayemaker Ringstar – with Floyd Mayweather’s former promoter Richard Schaefer.

And while Haye has promised he is not coasting towards retirement, he does have a plan that ends with his hanging up the gloves.

"I want five more fights," Haye added.

"That’s all I’ll need to prove what I need to prove before I retire."
