Raymond Over is the oldest person in Britain to love whizzing down a zip wire
Raymond Over completed the daunting challenge as part of his granddaughter's birthday bash.
The pensioner, who owned a furniture shop in Montrose, Angus, remains active by walking his dogs every day and living independently.
But he got into full swing when he whizzed down a zip slide and had a go on a Tarzan swing at the Go Ape outdoor adventure centre in Aberdeenshire.
And staff at the site declared the grandfather-of-six their oldest ever customer.
Mr Over said: "There was no way I was missing out on the challenge. It was an exhilarating experience zipping through the trees and flying down the Tarzan swing.
"The safety arrangements and guidance of the staff were so good that it increased my confidence and eliminated my fear of heights.

Mr Over from Montrose, Angus, was invited by his granddaughter Louise Finlayson who was celebrating her 21st birthday party.
Granddaughter Natasha, 23, arranged the day-out at Crathes Castle and hailed her granddad as an inspiration.

She said: "When granddad heard of the surprise trip we had planned he decided that he wanted to have a go and didn't want to miss out on the fun of a day.
"We looked on the Go Ape website and saw there is no age limit and that the criteria was being able to climb rope ladders and granddad was confident he was up for the challenge.
"He is a real inspiration to everyone. He is full of energy and lives life to the full."
