Cristiano Ronaldo will not be joining Manchester United this summer
Manchester United have been splashing the cash once more this summer, bringing in Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku for in excess of £100million.
Jose Mourinho has claimed more signings are on the way and he is hopeful of completing a deal for at least one more player.
However, one face who will not be seen at Old Trafford this season is Cristiano Ronaldo, who Mourinho called "mission impossible".
"I am not going to get my club to waste time on players who are mission impossible," he said after United's 5-2 win over LA Galaxy.

"Ronaldo is such an important player for his club. A player of great economic power.
"We have not been able to find any reason that could have made us think that Ronaldo could leave."
The Portugal international is under contract at Real Madrid until June 2021 and penned a new deal last November, meaning he is highly unlikely to leave.
However, Mourinho did reveal earlier this week United have not been resting on their laurels and are attempting to bring two more players to the club.

"We need more, we wanted four, so I would say 50 per cent of the job is done but I don’t want to say that because everything is so difficult.
“I wouldn't like to be in Ed Woodward’s position negotiating because everything is really difficult.
"So maybe we don’t get two, we get one but we need one more to give us more options."
