The 39-year-old host of the BBC wildlife show looked more than a little green as she visited an oyster farm as part of a cooking segment for the Spring special.
“These spring oysters might be in their prime but my track record with oysters on Countryfile isn’t great,” she was heard telling viewers as the episode cut to a throwback clip.
In the hilarious footage, the broadcaster was seen swallowing an oyster from its shell and trying hard not to vomit the seafood delicacy back up.
Ellie could be seen hopping around as she finished eating the oyster but the look of disgust was evident on her face.
“Oh! That hasn’t improved me!” she exclaimed to the camera once she regained her composure. However, she looked like she was about to throw up into a gardening glove that she held in one hand.
The BBC show then cut back to Ellie in Padstow, North Cornwall with Michelin-starred chef Paul Ainsworth, who promised her to convert her to the foodstuff.

Even after Paul downed an oyster, Ellie could only grimace and told him: “I feel your pain!”
The pair cooked up the oysters, along with the other seasonal produce they had locally sourced from farmers to make a delicious dish.

It was then that Ellie once again tried to overcome her dislike of oysters as she tried one that had been deep-fried with some garlic sauce.

Ellie Harrison finally overcame her dislike of oysters on Countryfile
For a moment it looked like she was going to hurl up the food after a mouthful but suddenly she changed her mind and appeared to enjoy eating it.
“It’s really, really different! It’s like really, really posh scampi!” she told the chef as he asked if he had “converted” her to oysters.
She continued: “That is really good! This is the only way I can have them!”
The comical scenes come not longer after Ellie almost slipped over on mud while fossil hunting a couple of weeks ago.
Countryfile continues on BBC One next Sunday at 7pm.
