Ken Barlow's youngest son (played by Rob Mallard) has only just arrived in Weatherfield, but he is already causing trouble.
In recent weeks, viewers have seen Daniel strike up a friendship with Sinead (Katie McGlynn), who is feeling ignored by her boyfriend, Chesney Brown (Sam Aston).
According to The Sun, things will start to heat up between the pair and Sinead will dump Chesney and start dating Daniel instead.
However, Sinead quickly falls pregnant in the early stages of their relationship.

A show insider told the publication: “The cobbles will once again be rocked by a pregnancy bombshell as Sinead discovers she’s pregnant with her new boyfriend Daniel’s baby – shortly after they start dating.
“Sinead tries to keep it a secret at first but Daniel soon stumbles across her pregnancy test."
Daniel jumps to the conclusion that the baby is Chesney's, but Sinead assures him that it is his.

Daniel's father, Ken, is less than pleased when he hears the news as he had high hopes for Daniel's future as an academic.
The source added: “Ken is fuming when he finds out Daniel could be a dad at only 22 years old. He thinks Daniel’s being dragged down by Sinead and does his best to tell Daniel to stay away.”
