Chettithody Shamshuddin will not umpire the third and final T20 between India and England
England won the first match of the series but fell five runs short in the second thanks to an inspired bowling performance by India.
However, England captain Eoin Morgan was frustrated by decisions of local umpire Shamshuddin, who has subsequently chosen not to stand in today's third T20 match.
Assistant coach Paul Farbrace was seen remonstrating with the official after the second T20 and Morgan revealed his frustrations at three decision, two which favoured India's batsmen and a third which saw Joe Root incorrectly given out in the final over of the match.
“There is extreme frustration – the decision at the start of the 20th over shifted momentum," Morgan said.
“It was a hammer blow and it proved costly but we still should have won the game – we played really well.
“The bowlers backed up their performance from the other night on a pitch that suited India more.
"We were always in a reasonable position in the chase and we should have won the game.”
