Luke Donnelly has joined Greenock Morton on an emergency loan

Luke Donnelly has found it tough to break into the Celtic first-team and is yet to make a senior appearance for the Hoops.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan with Alloa where he made nine appearances, scoring one goal.

And the striker has now been sent out to Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton for three months to earn more first-team experience.

"Celtic can confirm that Luke Donnelly has joined Championship side Greenock Morton on an emergency loan deal until May 9," a club statement read.

"Everyone at Celtic would like to wish Luke all the best for his time at Cappielow."

Donnelly will link up with fellow Celtic youngsters Jamie Lindsay and Aidan Nesbitt who have been with Greenock Morton since the start of the season.
