Christie Brinkley looks sensational at 62
Christie Brinkley turns 63 today but still looks as good as she did during her heydays as America’s biggest supermodel.
She credits a vegetarian diet and strict exercise regime for her toned figure.
The stunning blonde ditched meat aged 12 and is mainly vegan, although she admits: “Life is too short to not have oysters and champagne sometimes.”

She has admitted to “super-tiny doses” of fillers and has dabbled with Botox, but says that there is ”no replacement for good solid skin care” and recently launched her own line of beauty products.
Christie was born February 2, 1954 in Monroe Michigan but grew up in Los Angeles with her mother Marjorie and adopted father Don Brinkley, a famous television writer and producer.
As a young woman Christie shunned Hollywood for the arts world. She moved to Paris aged 18 to attend art school, and worked as an illustrator before being scouted by an American photographer.

She told New Beauty: “Art was the game plan. I never planned to get into modelling. I never had that moment where I said, ‘I want to do that!’ I was a struggling artist — whatever that means at 18 — in France and a photographer saw me and asked me if I wanted to model.”
She returned to LA and had lunch with agent Nina Blanchard. Famously, by the end of the meeting, she had booked three national advertising campaigns.
Christies’s all-American good looks made her the defining face of the 1980s.
She appeared on the cover of Glamour magazine several times, fronted three consecutive Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, and signed a record 20-year contract with CoverGirl.

Over a career spanning more than four decades she has appeared on more than 500 magazine covers worldwide, and has ventured into acting, writing and presenting.
In 1973 she married French artist Jean-François Allaux, a union which ended after just four years.
Christie said: “He was a great guy, but my career took off and it strained the relationship.”
She met musician Billy Joel in 1983 and the couple married two years later on March 23, 1985. A daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, arrived the same year.

They became one of the most famous couples in America and Christie starred in many of Billy’s music videos, including Uptown Girl.
They divorced in 1994 but remain friends to this day. She explained: “We had Alexa together and we knew that was going to bind us together for life so we wanted to make our divorce work.”
The same year she married real estate developer Richard Taubma, who she met in a helicopter accident while she was still married to Billy.
At their wedding they announced that they were expecting a baby boy, Jack Paris Taubman, but just a year later their marriage ended in divorce.

In 1996 Christie married architect Peter Halsey Cook, the father of her youngest daughter Sailor Lee Cook.
Their marriage ended in a high-profile, bitter divorce in 2008 amid rumours of infidelity on his part.
Last year Christie announced that she had split from her boyfriend of one year John Mellencamp due to “heavy career demands” and “mileage between their homes”.
She has sworn that she will never marry again, and says that she is focused on her children, her career and philanthropic work.
She continues to model and in 2011 completed a well-received stint on Broadway, playing Roxie in Chicago.
More recently she has launched her own range of organic prosseco, and has lent her name to skincare, eyewear and wig lines.
