Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reportedly wants to land Celtic striker Moussa Dembele in order to facilitate Michy Batshuayi’s switch to West Ham.
The Blues are said to have made a £34million offer for the 20-year-old Frenchman, although Express Sport understands Celtic value their star hitman at £40m.
Chelsea will test the Scottish champions’ resolve today as they have not baulked at the required fee.
And according to the Daily Mail, Conte wants to secure a deal in time to allow Batshuayi a loan move across London.
West Ham have enquired about the Belgium international’s availability this month, having seen him lack game time at Stamford Bridge since his £33m summer arrival.

The winger has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, having fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.
However, the Portuguese boss is keen for the experienced 31-year-old to remain at the club.
West Brom and Watford have shown interest, while a transfer to the Chinese Super League has also been on the cards.

Arsenal's Chuba Akpom will help Brighton for the remainder of the season in their promotion charge
I thought it'd be the perfect place to come to
Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom has branded his loan move to Brighton as “perfect”.
The 21-year-old was signed on loan until the end of the season yesterday by the Championship high-flyers.
And with a fight for promotion to the Premier League on, Chris Hughton has added firepower in the form of Akpom.
He has been starved of first-team action at the Emirates and believes joining Brighton is the right deal for him.
"I spoke to the boss, Akpom told the Seagulls’ official website. “Brighton were interested and I thought it'd be the perfect place to come to."
