Batshuayi joined Chelsea last summer from Marseille for £33million and it was hoped he would provide competition for Diego Costa.
But after being given a chance in the opening games of the season, the 23-year-old played a peripheral role as Chelsea marched towards the Premier League title.
The Belgian international did end the season on a high with his goal against West Brom sealing the league title.
And he scored three goals in the final two games of the season to finish on nine for the campaign.

I want to play, score as many goals as possible and be at the World Cup
Chelsea have been strongly linked with Everton forward Romelu Lukaku which would mean even less playing time for Batshuayi.
And Batshuayi admits he want to play regular football to earn a place in Belgian's squad for next summer's World Cup.
"I'm not the master of my destiny. Chelsea bought me, they can do what they want with me," Batshuayi told RMC Sport.
