Marcos Alonso reckons Chelsea are at an advantage in the race for the Premier League title
Chelsea have been in superb form this season and find themselves at the top of the Premier League with an eight-point lead on second-placed Manchester City.
The Blues have not had to juggle Champions League or Europe League commitments this season, which has clogged up the fixture list for City, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Alonso is aware that Chelsea are fresher than their rivals
And Alonso, who reckons his side deserves credit for adapting to Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 formation, believes the Blues are at a clear advantage as they are less fatigued than than their title rivals.
"The team are playing very well," he told Onda Cero. "We have adapted very well to the idea of the coach and we hope to continue this way until the end of the season.
"We are training a lot and very well.
