Antonio Conte is keen to land some marquee signings this summer ahead of Chelsea’s return to the Champions League next season.
The Italian wants European experience and Bakayoko is the man in his sights.
Reports yesterday suggested the Blues have entered talks with Monaco over a deal.
And French publication Foot Mercato claim a five-year contract is on the table for the talented midfielder that would likely spell the end of Nemanja Matic’s time in west London.

Bakayoko is reportedly waiting to see if Antonio Conte commits his future to the Blues with Chelsea pushing to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Despite interest from Inter Milan, Conte is likely to stay at Stamford Bridge after guiding his side to Premier League glory in his first season in charge.
Bakayoko is said to be keen on a move to Chelsea but wants to hold talks with Conte before putting pen to paper on a deal.
However, Chelsea still need to agree a fee with the Ligue 1 champions that is said to be around £37m.

Foot Mercato suggest they would like Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda thrown in as part of a deal.
The 20-year-old has struggled to hit the ground running at the Blues and spent the first half of this season on loan at Real Betis before returning in December due to injury.
Chelsea are willing to use Musonda as part of the deal in order to lower the £37m transfer fee but Monaco are unhappy with their £17m valuation.
As a compromise, Chelsea are willing to let Musonda leave for a lower fee if they can have a first refusal option to buy him should Monaco sell him in the future.
