Chelsea transfer news
Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka believes Adama Traore is good enough to play for suitors Chelsea – but that he must remain at Boro.
Chelsea want to sign winger Traore by the summer as the 20-year-old continues to impress at the Riverside.
But Karanka has warned Traore he must concentrate on performing at Boro before thinking of a move.
“If a team like Chelsea are following Adama it’s because his progress has been brilliant in six months and he’s doing well, but he’s young and the main thing he has to do is to keep going as football can change a lot,” Karanka said.
“He’s in a good moment now but with [new signing] Patrick [Bamford] here now, maybe other players arriving, maybe in two or three months he’s not playing and the Chelsea move disappears.”

Diego Costa latest
Former England defender Matt Upson believes Diego Costa’s team-mates will have sympathy over the striker’s recent fall-out with manager Antonio Conte.
Costa is back in the Chelsea fold after a week in exile following his spat with the manager.
He was linked with a move to China but that deal now appears to have been shelved at least until the summer.
“I find it quite remarkable being at a club like Chelsea and challenging for the Premier League title – there shouldn’t be a greater time in your career than experiencing that,” Upson told Radio 5Live.
Matt Upson believes Chelsea's players will understand Diego Costa's wish to leave
“Teammates always understand people wanting to better themselves, whether it be from a professional point of view or a financial one.
“Maybe you get towards the end of your career and it becomes the most important issue in your career.
“You can’t criticise him for wanting something different if that was the case.
“But he’s in such a strong position in a great Chelsea team that could go on and win the title.
“If that’s the worst thing that could happen – you win the title with Chelsea at the end of the season – then I’m sure everyone will be happy.”
Chelsea reportedly want to sign Traore (left) and Calhanoglu
Chelsea want to sign Bayer Leverkusen ace Hakan Calhanoglu, according to reports.
Blues scouts are said to have watched Calhanoglu in action against Cologne last month.
That is according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, who claim the Blues are planning a £15million bid for Calhanoglu.
Calhanoglu, 22, joined Leverkusen from Hamburg back in 2014 in a £12.5m deal.
It is claimed officials from Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Everton have also been tracking the Turkey international’s progress.
