And the Belgium striker appeared to play a role in seeing Bakayoko follow him to Stamford Bridge.
The two swapped a series of tweets of emojis late on Thursday, hinting a deal was imminent.
After the signing was confirmed by Chelsea, Bakayoko wrote on Twitter: “Thanks to my agent @mbatshuayi.
