Jorge Mere is being scouted by Chelsea
Antonio Conte hasn't concealed his desire to strengthen his rearguard at the end of the season.
With John Terry expected to leave, Conte has been lining up potential targets, with Juventus' centre-back Leonardo Bonucci one of a few on his radar.
And according to the Daily Star, the Blues have already sent scouts to run the rule over Mere.

It is said Valencia are leading the race to clinch a deal.
However, the report suggests that should Chelsea sign Mere, Conte could loan him back out for a campaign so he can get more games under his belt.
Any suitors it is believed, will have to fork out £25million should they wish to land Mere.
The 19-year-old has already made over 50 appearances for the La Liga outfit.
He is currently contracted with the club until 2020.
