The 41-year-old cascaded through the city’s Main Street alongside the likes of Chelsea Handler and John Legend to fight back at President Donald Trump’s stance on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, immigration and health care.
Thousands of protestors drowned the Washington streets with placards emblazoned with slogans such as “Make America Compassionate Again” and “We Live in Trumpled Times”.
The overwhelming crowds moved the Oscar-Winning actress to tears as she was pictured welling up right the core of the march.
Following the impassioned demonstration, chat show host Handler told the onslaught of acclaimed film makers, actors and worrisome citizens not to take Trump’s regime lying down.

The 41-year-old yelled that she felt honoured “to stand with hundreds of thousands of women to demonstrate respect for our freedom, human rights, safety and health; Otherwise known as ‘Things We Thought We Were Done Marching For, But Apparently We’re Not.’”
She continued: “Over the past few months, many of us have felt gutted and demoralised. This time last year, it felt like we were on the brink of achieving gender equality: people were talking openly about campus safety for women, the wage-gap, and sexual harassment. We were all excited that the crescendo of this movement was going to be the election of the first female president. But that didn’t happen.
“Yes, we experienced a setback, but the only thing you can do when you’ve been set back is to step forward and continue to fight. And that fight includes standing by an institution that’s synonymous with the health and safety of millions of women across the nation: Planned Parenthood.”

“It’s an institution that’s always had our backs,” waded in The West Wing actress Mary McCormack. “And now that it’s being threatened and attacked, it needs our support more than ever.”
Over in the United Kingdom, tens of thousands of protesters have also taken part in the Women’s March including Lily Allen and Charlotte Church – who used the event to dismiss God with a bizarre placard.
In the Cardiff demonstration, the 30-year-old singer held up a placard which read: “I didn't come from your rib, you came from my vagina”, appearing to dismiss the Bible's story of how Eve was created from Adam's rib bone.
British singer Lily, 31, sang to crowds who gathered outside London’s Grosvenor Square while at another unofficial protest, fists flew as chaos broke out in the capital’s Oxford Circus.
The protests come after Trump’s inauguration yesterday which saw the billionaire become the 45th President of the United States.
