Carl Frampton wants to take on Vasyl Lomachenko even if it means stepping up a weight class
The Northern Irishman, 29, defends his WBA featherweight title against Leo Santa Cruz in their highly-anticipated rematch in Las Vegas this weekend.
Unbeaten Frampton has already won titles at super-bantamweight and has plans to move up to super-feather and become Britain’s third three-weight world champion.
And he has no fears about taking on WBO champion Lomachenko, who is one of the best fighters on the planet.
Vasyl Lomachenko is a double Olympic gold medallist and world champion in the professional ranks
Lomachenko had a stunning amateur career that seen him win two Olympic gold medallists before he turned pro and won the WBO featherweight title in just his third paid fight.
The Ukrainian then moved to super-featherweight and became a two-weight world champion in just his seventh fight.
"Lomachenko? Why not?" Frampton said.

“I think what you have to do, when you're involved in fights, they need to be rewarding financially.
“I've done this before and people have given me stick for talking about money, but when you have two young kids and a family, it's important.
“A Lomachenko fight would be financially rewarded and it would be a great scalp if I could beat someone like him.
“This isn't me calling Lomachenko out, a fighter I'm in awe of, but I don't fear anyone.”
Frampton has to deal with Santa Cruz first this weekend and believes a win over the American-based Mexican will shoot him up the pound-for-pound rankings.
He added: “There are so many top fighters around. I picked up a lot of awards last year.
“The Ring magazine is a special one. But, I don't know, maybe call myself pound-for-pound top 10.
“If I beat Santa Cruz again, then you're getting close to the top five.”
