Lenny Henry, Sarah Parish and Julie Hesmondhalgh will join David Tennant and Olivia Colman for the new season of ITV's hit drama.
Little can be deduced from the short trailer, but it appears that Lenny Henry has found himself as suspect number one in the crime drama.
Season three will see Ellie Miller (played by Colman) and Alec Hardy (Tennant) reunite to solve a dark sexual assault case which occurred at a large party.
With the perpetrator still at large, it is up to the brooding duo to join forces once again and go through the village to find the criminal.

Whilst discussing the upcoming season, Arthur Darvill, who plays the reliable vicar, told Digital Spy: "I think this series has more of the feel of the first series.
"I can't tell you too much about it, but the subject matter of it is really heavy," he continued.
Whilst there is a completely new story for this season, there are hints of the past still lurking.
Joe Miller will also return in season three
Broadchurch will return in February 2017
Joe Miller, the murderer of Danny Latimer, will return, suggesting a hark back to the previous seasons.
It is uncertain whether this will be the last season of Broadchurch, but with writer Chris Chibnall's new job on Doctor Who, it seems unlikely that he will return for a fourth season.
Broadchurch is set to return to ITV in February.
