A British backpacker was kidnapped, raped and tortured in Australia
The hairdresser, 22, approached staff at a hospital in Cairns, Queensland, during a 1,000-mile road trip through the Outback.
She asked for stitches to a deep gash on her eyebrow but left when staff questioned her about it.
Yesterday’s revelation came as she was released from medical care after her horrendous ordeal which was finally brought to an end on Sunday.

Beverley Page called police who stopped the victim’s white truck and found the alleged captor hiding in an alcove in the back of the vehicle.
Martin appeared in court on Monday charged with rape, assault, strangulation, deprivation of liberty, possession of drugs and obstructing police.
Foreign Office staff are liaising with the victim and her family who have flown to be by her side.
Detective Inspector Paul Hart said: “What she has experienced is horrific and terrifying and we commend her for taking the opportunity to speak to our police.
“We have potentially saved this young girl’s life.
“Given what has happened to her, the extent of what has happened over the period of time, anything might have transpired.”
