ITV/Britain's Got Talent
Britain’s Got Talent audiences were bent over in stitches after a comedian took the stage on Friday night’s semi-final.
Daliso Chaponda delivered a much-needed comedic respite with his light-hearted yet totally topical stand up – and he had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand.
You can watch his performance and see why for yourself below:
Malawi-born Daliso made Amanda Holden laugh so much in his first Britain's Got Talent audition she pressed the Golden Buzzer for him, and Chaponda certainly delivered a blistering follow up last night.
Daliso – the self-titled 'African Michael McIntyre' – got right to the topic at hand, discussing immigration, racism, gender equality and body aesthetic.
Talking about the myth of the 'Good Old Days', Daliso drops some funny truths on the audience as he stands on stage, saying: "We've got it so good… Women can vote now. I'm black; 200 years ago this would've been an auction."
His tongue-in-cheek repertoire made sure no one was safe. His diatribe against Madonna and Angelina Jolie – who have both adopted children from Daliso's home country – was a hit with viewers.
Twitter reacted accordingly:

Daliso could read the Daily Mail and it would be hilarious. Why isn't this guy selling out arenas yet? #BritainsGotTalent
