The flight was supposed to land at 8.42am this morning
The flight left Oslo at 7.42am central European time and was scheduled to land at London's Stanstead Airport but pilots in control of the Boeing 737-800 made an emergency call just before landing.
The flight had left the Norweigan airport on time and was on route to London when pilots used their squawk 7700 code signal to declare an as yet unknown emergency on board.

The plane was travelling at approximately 38,000 ft when the emergency was declared and was around 39 minutes away from landing.
A spokesman for Ryanair says the airline is currently investigating and will confirm details shortly.
