Texas shooting San AntonioNEWS4SANANTONIO

One person is believed to have been killed and six injured in a shooting in San Antonio

Police and emergency services are now attending the incident, which is believed to have taken place near a children’s playground at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, Texas.

San Antonio Fire Department has confirmed one person died during the incident which took place at around 3.30pm.

Police described the victim as a “Good Samaritan who tried to intervene to save a victim”.

The mayor's office called the incident as "deadly" and claimed one suspect is in custody and one is at large.

It has been reported that the shooter in custody has been rushed to hospital with injuries.

Reports suggest the shooting may have occurred due to a failed robbery of a jewellery store.

Police are believed to be searching for the second shooter and have cleared the first two floors of the mall.

Shoppers have taken cover in the toilets and backroom of the mall, and police have urged residents to stay away until the situation is resolved.
