Part of the airport has been evacuated after a suspected pressure cooker was found
The suspicious package was found in Terminal A at 9.45pm BST (4.45pm local time) at the Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey.
Port of New Jersey and New York tweeted they had found a pressure cooker in Terminal A of Newark Liberty International Airport in the US.

PAPD tweeted to inform travellers about the situation
The Port Authority of NY & NJ tweeted: “#PAPD evacuating Terminal A, Newark Airport after a pressure cooker was found in the terminal. Awaiting bomb squad."
The terminal was evacuated as bomb squads, detectives, K-9 units and firefighters all swarmed to the scene.

Passengers have now been allowed to reenter the building.
It comes just days after five people were injured after a United Airlines plane engine set to take off from the same airport caught fire.
More than 100 passengers had to flee the plane a a total of 124 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated on emergency slides at 2am BST (9pm local time) on Wednesday.
The injuries from the incident on Wednesday were described as minor by airline officials.
