A gunman has attacked diners at a restaurant in Istanbul
The attack took place at the Big Chef restaurant in the Byekoz neighbourhood, on the Asian side of the Turkish city.
Witnesses report several injuries after a gunman entered the popular restaurant near the Anadolu Hisar fortress – a major tourist attraction.
One person is believed to have died and others are injured.
Witnesses claim the gunman entered the restaurant and shot dead a customer as part of a revenge attack.
The shooting is believed to be related to the death of the gunman's father 12 years ago.
The fate of the gunman is unknown.
